Moravian Open Door could use your help. Our interns/volunteers are provided with the unique opportunity to further develop their skills in the following areas of social work:
- human services
- maintenance
- office management
- recreation leadership
- life skills instruction
Our leadership team is thrilled to provide glowing references and letters of recommendation on behalf of our volunteers. But beyond the great real world, resume-building experience, you'll make a tangible impact on our clients' lives.
Here are some of the ongoing needs that could use volunteers:
- painting of rooms, staircases
- tech help-- teaching clients computer skills
- helping clients produce a newsletter
- making minor building repairs that need 'handyman' skills
- laying carpet tiles
- providing programs about life skills (financial literacy, health and wellness, job skills, etc.)
- providing programs of games or entertainment
- providing occasional meals for clients
All fundraising for Moravian Open Door is done by volunteers. We spend donors' dollars only for printing and mailing.
